Mapping a drive using thenewsgroup or Comag credentials
Note: If your thenewsgroup or comag password expired but you already have drives mapped, you can update the password to the new password for the drives under Credential Manager. Refer to the section “Updating your thenewsgroup or Comag password for mapped drive and SSMS connections in Credential Manager” for instructions on updating the password stored in Credential Manager.
Open any folder and go to This PC

B - Enter the mapped folder location you need with the full address
EXAMPLES (You will need to use the mapped folder location you need. There are many mapped drives!) \\smysvadmfp02.thenewsgroup.com\store$ or \\cmgfs2.ad.i-cmg.com\DEPT
C - Make sure Reconnect at sign-in is checked
D - Make sure Connect using different credentials is checked
E- Click Finish to go to the Enter network credentials screen

In the Enter Network Credentials or Connect using different credentials pop up, do the following:
A - enter your credentials for thenewsgroup as thenewsgroup\yourloginid or for Comag as cmgad\yourloginid
B - enter your thenewsgroup or Comag password

Sometimes, the box will pop up a second time and that time you just need to make sure Remember my credentials is still checked and then click OK and that is when the settings save and the mapped drive opens.
